RED Directives



RED wireless CE authentication

   The R&TTE Directive 1999/5/EC directive has been implemented for many years, many places can not meet existing products. In fact, the EU already in 2007 began drafting the new directive, but the progress is not so quick, so in 2011 to submit a draft to the European Commission, finally in May 22, 2014, the EU official announced a new version of the wireless equipment directive RED 2014/53/EU this is based on the new EU directive, the CE resolution framework written in 768/2008/EC, RED 2014/53/EU to replace the original EU Wireless Equipment Directive R&TTE-D 1999/5/EC.

Since the EU officially announced new instructions and a start, the transition time for two years, from June 13, 2016 onwards, the original R&TTE 1999/5/EC instruction will be abolished, and has been under the old instruction evaluation of products can continue to sell to the June 13, 2017.2017 year in June 13th, wireless devices on the EU market only allows sales assessment in accordance with the new RED 2014/53/EU.

 

The new directive aims: to clear the spectrum range, and improve the efficiency of spectrum usage, more convenient for the enforcement of regulations and market monitoring members between countries.

The scope of RED product certification

The RED test project

1, the electromagnetic compatibility test (EMC test)

2, safety test of LVD (in the new directive, the battery input of RF products, is also required for this test)
